:: Despair ::

Of A Broken Heart

Wisps of cotton floating in the air
Soothing to touch and silken to skin
They escape the obvious stare
Only to gather silently with subtle care

Drops of solitude none discerning
Only to manifest in an ocean of bliss
That is the moment of one realizing
The depth of the ardor burning within

The seeping sunlight ushered slowly
Escapes vigil but not its fate
Kindles the senses and illuminates folly
None can defy nature to date

Imagine the order now in reverse
All of burgeoning sentience now depart
Fulminates in a song so averse
Of nothing but only a broken heart
