The Veiled Sentience

‘O tis the same feeling again
I’d rather feel pain, rather be insane
It bites you from within
A treacherous fissure that sucks you in

Life is full of subtleties
A thin line is all it is
That deviates the good from the bad
That distinguishes the sad from the glad

Imagine standing alone on a deadly cliff
Awaiting you below are the sharpest knifes so stiff
Hounding from the back are the ghosts of penance
Jump or stay you have no chance

Of all the humanly feelings possible
I hate not hate but of guilt
Deep in the heart it remains impassable
Should I jump or stay and wilt?

It creeps within you yet you know not
Engulfs you slowly with every knot
Thou shall never perceive
Of that with open arms you never receive

Taboo it seems with passing thought
The mind abruptly shut with iron wrought
Denial oh yes the name of the game
Yet only after the unnamed is due fame

The heart quavers with ticking seconds
A venture into the unknown soon it reckons
The imminent rattle chokes the throat
You struggle in a stormy sea like ye a boat

The beauty of death is life therein
The absence of which reveals the truth within
Death and life both in us
Choose to believe and rejoice ‘alas

How this big earth came to be
All that we hear and all that we see
Even things beyond our mental space
Come about by Your grace

How Your dwellers lived so long ago
Lessons that we came to know
And who You love the best
And the reasons for your tribulations and tests

How You make the raindrops fall
And the wonders of the trees so tall
From seeds the plants do grow
And the reasons for the winds to blow


How about the oceans so wide
The miracle of our mothers by our side
The majestic mountains riding so high
Touching the magnificence of the sky

And the nature of Your glory
Unfolds like a beautiful story
Conveying a message pure and true
The One whose truth we are due to ensue

In everything lies a truth within
That none can see but those who seek
The line of aberration will always be thin
Not for the mellow neither for the meek

Emanating sanguinity with an inner stir
What good is there in such a sham
Fooling the world with a bitter slur
The soul trapped in a heart even to a dam

Move ahead and break the walls free
Surrender and let the water flow
Descry and unmask the divine decree
Feel your soul fly and watch your heart glow

In everything lies a truth within
That none can see but those who seek
You choose to listen amongst that you hear
Lest your life of pungence it may reek
