:: Of A Love So Deep ::

Butterfly With The Broken Wings

Silver and gold, and it’s growing cold
Autumn leaves lay as thick as thieves
Shivers down your spine, chilling you to the bone,
The lonely wind is the melody that turns your heart to stone

The beat of your heart hastens with shadows in the faraway mist
Every butterfly has wings except the one biting a forsaken grist
Like a broken dream, haunting in your sleep
The broken wings hides a love that cuts you deep

By the moment you think the butterfly is rankling
Sure it has to go sooner the funeral bells ring
There’s no right or wrong in the nature of love
You can only watch as the wind crushes the wings

Out of nowhere there comes the healer
And like the flower in spring, love will rise again to heal its wings
Love heals the butterfly with the broken wings
Surely my love heals the butterfly with the broken wings
